Conservation plan for landbirds in Alaska, multi-authored volume designed and written by members of Boreal Partners in Flight, under the auspices of the international Partners in Flight cooperative program.

The goal of this revised Joint Venture Landbird Habitat Conservation Strategy is to guide regional conservation that results in habitat to support populations of priority landbird species and related social values, consistent with continental bird conservation goals.

The Pinyon Jay (Gymnorhinus cyanocephalus) is an obligate bird of piñon-juniper and other pine-juniper woodlands that has experienced significant population declines and is of increasing conservation concern. The purpose of this strategy is to summarize current knowledge about Pinyon Jays and identify research, monitoring, and conservation actions required to improve their population status.

This Conservation Plan was developed to promote and facilitate cooperative efforts to ensure the long-term persistence of the Tricolored Blackbird.

This Conservation Plan includes a prioritized list of actions and needs that will begin to achieve long-term range-wide conservation of Sprague’s Pipits. In addition, several states and provinces have developed objectives and actions designed to address state-wide conservation of Sprague’s Pipits. Updated information on life history and population status are included here in support of this goal.
