Partners in Flight is co-hosting a World Migratory World Day Event with Klamath Bird Observatory. This special holiday animation workshop will be fun for the whole family. It will be led by Larry Leichliter, former PEANUTS director, and accomplished animator. The workshop will offer a live-action tutorial, teaching participants to create a simple animation of Snoopy, the lovable canine character from the PEANUTS cartoon, and his feather pal Woodstock. This World Migratory Bird Day event will be held via Zoom on December 16, 2021, at 5:30 PM Pacific Standard Time.

While birding is a relatively accessible hobby in general, some may find it challenging to get into. There are specific barriers that BIPOC communities face. Sam DeJarnett and other partners are helping to overcome barriers that make birding less accessible and attracting groups representing a broad range of demographics. They are helping the BIPOC community, as well as other beginner birders, find their place in the birding community.
